Light the architecture
The detail is
in the downward light.
Roofline lights outline the edge. Soffit lights sit underneath it, casting light across the brick, stone or siding below. The result brings depth to the whole face of your home.
Walls with depth. Bring texture and detail into view after sunset.
An inviting entrance. Give the approach to your front door a considered glow.
A look of your own. Focus on the parts of your home that matter to you.
Placement shapes the light
The same fixture.
A different wash.
Where the fixture sits changes how the light meets the wall. These photographs show why placement is part of the design.

Farther from the wall
A broader, softer wash that reaches across more of the wall.

Closer to the wall
A tighter, more focused wash with a clean, defined look.
Every corner changes the picture.
Moving the light around a corner shifts the way it falls across each surface. We plan the position around the shape of your home.

Two ways to make it yours
Beautiful on its own.
Considered together.
Soffit lights can be installed on their own or paired with permanent roofline lighting. The right starting point is the look you want for your home.
Let the walls glow.
Downward light adds definition beneath the eaves. Choose this approach when you want the surfaces of your home to take the lead.
Plan soffit lightingBring both layers together.
Define the roof edge and light the walls beneath it. We plan the two layers around the same architecture.

Good questions
Soffit lighting,
answered.
Start with what you want to light. We can work through the details together.
What is soffit lighting?
Soffit lights are fitted beneath the overhang of your roof. They point down to illuminate the walls below, rather than tracing the roof edge.
Do I need permanent roofline lights too?
No. Soffit lights can be installed on their own or paired with permanent roofline lighting. We can plan either approach around your home.
How far apart are the lights?
We measure each eave and agree the spacing with you before anything is ordered. The layout accounts for windows, corners and the shape of your home.
What if part of my home has no soffit?
Those areas are left out of the soffit layout. The picture we send with your quote shows where each light goes, so you can review the coverage before deciding.
Can downlights be added to my existing lighting system?
We first check your equipment, compatibility and available power capacity. An existing installation needs to be assessed before we can confirm an addition.
Where do you install soffit lighting?
We serve Staten Island, New Jersey, Long Island, Brooklyn and Connecticut. Share your location and a photo of your home so we can discuss the layout.
Does soffit lighting use much power?
Each light draws at most 3.3 watts on a 24 volt low voltage system. We plan the power capacity around the number of lights and the length of each run.
Can I install it myself?
We install and wire every light, so each run is planned for its power and length. Your proposal confirms the layout before installation.
Where is the downlight made?
Designed and built in Canada.
What does the warranty cover?
Backed by a 10 year parts and 5 year labor warranty, in writing. Ask to see the terms before you book.
